LOCATION: Located near Lake Wister State Park in southeast Oklahoma. Lake Wister State Park, in southeast Oklahoma, is a gateway to the beautiful Ouachita National Forest. The park includes 7,300-acre (30 km2) Lake Wister with five camping areas. The park offers many recreational activities including hiking, camping, bicycling, picnics, fishing, hunting, boating and water skiing. Enjoy the water spray park for children and adults. A waterfowl refuge is nearby, and hunting is allowed at Wister Wildlife Management Area. Camping facilities include cabins, tent sites and RV sites with both modern and semi-modern. Other facilities include comfort stations with showers, picnic tables, group picnic shelters, lighted boat ramps, unlighted gravel ramp, playgrounds, nature center, miniature golf course and swimming beach. Hiking trails include a self-guided nature trail, handicapped trail and a 4-mile (6.4 km) round trip trail. Lake Wister State Park has a fully equipped group camp that accommodates 100 visitors and includes a full kitchen and dining hall. LAND: The cabin sits on 3.27 acres of level to very slightly sloping land. It is mostly wooded mature pine trees and other hardwoods such as Oak, Hickory, Elm, Cedar and Pine. There are perinnial herbs (sage & mint) that will return with the growing season. There is a Chicago Fig tree and a white grape vine that was added last spring. Lots of wildflower to attract honey bees and butterflies. There are several blackberry patches on the property. SERVICES: Services include Kiamichi Electric, Rural Water out of Summerfield, Ok. Satellite dish would be available as well as mail delivery and school bus routes. The average electric bill generally runs about $100.00 per month. The water runs $24.00 monthly. There is a water well on the property for further self-sustainability. HOME: The cabin has roughly 784 s.f. of heated and cooled living area with an open kitchen/living, two bedrooms and one bath. It features electric central heat & air, a composition shingle roof and a pier and beam foundation. The floors have recently been redone with a nice looking hardwood look laminate. There are ceiling fans in all of the rooms. Room dimensions and descriptions include the following: LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN: 13.7 x 27.2 combined and open. The living room has a slightly vaulted ceiling, rustic wood paneled walls, new wood look laminate floors, ceiling fan with light, a corner wood burning stove, and glass sliding doors leading out to the covered side porch. The kitchen area has the same wood look laminate floors, wood paneled walls, cabinets with formica tops, ceiling fan with light and corner kitchen sink. Appliances include solid surface electric cookstove, vent hood, microwave oven, refrigerator and washer and dryer. BEDROOM #1: 10.8 x 13.2, Wood look laminate flooring, wood paneled walls, closet, ceiling fan with light and two windows. BATHROOM: Wood look laminate flooring, wood paneled walls, single vanity with cabinetry below, mirror and lighting above, commode and tub/shower.
